Abstract
Errors in chromosome segregation are safeguarded by the spindle assembly checkpoint. Yet the very defects that trigger this checkpoint are inescapable consequences of sister chromatid segregation in anaphase. Three new studies provide clues to how cells cope with this problem.Mesh:
