A Pellicer1, M P Diamond.

Abstract

Uterine distention for hysteroscopy is usually performed using one of three distending media: carbon dioxide gas, dextran 70, or low-viscosity fluids. Use of these agents in diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy is described with regard to indications, techniques of use, and possible complications.
