Abstract
Primary tumors of the parapharyngeal space are uncommon. We herein report a case of a pleomorphic adenoma of the parotid gland in a 43-year-old woman who presented with a parapharyngeal mass that was initially interpreted as a soft tissue sarcoma. Electron microscopic and immunohistochemical studies demonstrated the myoepithelial origin of the tumor.Entities:
