Figure 1A model example of a PRR cluster formation for fungal detection.
Soluble ligands do not make a PRR cluster, but a fungal spore or a particulate ligand attracts PRRs in a lipid raft on the host cell surface. In this figure, heterologous PRRs, consisting of dectin-1, TLR2, and MMR, form a PRR cluster.
