Abstract
We report a rare case of massive maternal ascites complicating severe pre- eclampsia toxaemia (PET) seen in April 2013. This complication developed in association with the rise of blood pressure of 160/110 mmHg or more, worsening of proteinuria and hyperuricaemia. The onset of massive ascites caused respiratory compromise to the patient, thus necessitating immediate termination of pregnancy.Entities:
