Abstract
Trasurethral balloon dilatation of the prostate is a safe and simple procedure. It can be performed on an outpatient basis using topical anesthesia and sedation. The morbidity is minimal. The short-term results are encouraging. Prospective randomized studies are needed to determine the role of transurethral dilatation in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.Entities:
