Abstract
The cytologic features seen in a fine needle aspiration biopsy specimen of a liver metastasis from a myxoid variant of a malignant leiomyoblastoma (epithelioid leiomyosarcoma) of the stomach are presented. The abundant mucus production and rich vascularity evident in the aspiration smears corresponded to the histologic findings in the original tumor, which had been excised two years previously. Histochemical and immunochemical staining were used to substantiate the smooth-muscle origin of the tumor.Entities:
