Abstract
The hierarchy of evidence from medical research is a key concept in evidence-based medicine (EBM). In 1998, the Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine published a levels table based on study designs. An updated and more user-friendly version, published in 2011, focuses on the issues of prevalence, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment and screening. This paper presents and discusses this approach.Mesh:
