[Primary processes in the realization of morphogenesis in Acetabularia].

Abstract

Primary processes in the realization of morphogenesis during whorl and cap differentiation in Acetabularia cells are described.It has been demonstrated that the morphological appearance of these specific cellular differentiations is initiated by characteristic lytic processes within the already existant cell wall. It is proposed that they are induced by specific cytoplasmic processes.
