[Antheraxanthin-zeaxanthin conversion in Vaucheria sessilis (Xanthophyceae)].

Abstract

There is a light-induced transformation of antheraxanthin to zeaxanthin in the heterokont alga Vaucheria. This reaction can be reversed in the dark. The other carotenoids remain unchanged under the influence of light.
