The olivocerebellar projection in 'lurcher' mutant mice.

J A Heckroth1, L M Eisenman.

Abstract

Injections of WGA-HRP were made in the inferior olivary nucleus of 'lurcher' mutant mice. Despite the absence of Purkinje cells in these animals an olivocerebellar projection to the cerebellar cortex is observed. The fibers terminate at the interface between the granular and molecular layers, but do not enter the molecular layer.
