Abstract
The basic biological variable that distinguishes half the population from the other, sex, is rarely considered integral to the development of personalized treatment strategies. Yet sex is a fundamental aspect of human physiology. This article reviews evidence showing how sex influences patient outcomes and identifies ways to facilitate evidence-, sex-based approaches to patient care.Entities:
