A note on some non-membranous structures in plant mitochondria.

Abstract

Electron-opaque inclusions, seen in the mitochondrial matrix of several plant tissues after glutaraldehyde and osmium tetroxide fixation, with uranyl acetate and lead citrate poststaining, are described. Some tentative proposals about their composition and function are put forward.
