Mitral annuloplasty.

Annuloplasty is an essential component of surgical mitral valve repair to stabilize the repair and improve leaflet coaptation, decrease the stress on the leaflets and sutures, and increase the durability of the reconstructive procedure. Different annuloplasty methods and devices are available.
