Abstract
Maternal floor infarction is a recurring placental disease of ubiquitous perivillous fibrin deposition with obliteration of normal placental architecture. In this case, elevated levels of maternal serum alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) were found as well as a small fetal-maternal bleed. The association between placental disease and elevated maternal serum AFP is discussed.Entities:
