Abstract
Interleukin-10 (IL-10), a cytokine with anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory functions, regulates the biology of B and T cells. The present review describes the role of IL-10 in normal renal physiology, during acute kidney injury and in the development of chronic renal failure. We further discuss IL-10-induced cellular and molecular pathways and their link to the progression of kidney injury.Entities:
