Abstract

To spur individual physician involvement in efforts to control spending on high-cost patients, health systems are: Framing such initiatives as focused on improving quality of care. Requesting changes in physician-provided treatment that will yield savings. Using data to both selectsavingstargets and track outcomes. Maintaining physician engagement with regular meetings and feedback.
