Abstract
Invasive fungal rhinosinusitis is a rare and life-threatening disease. Granulomatous invasive fungal rhinosinusitis has a time course exceeding 12 weeks, and the destruction of bone progresses slowly. This disease has been reported primarily in Sudan, India, Pakistan, and the USA; however, it is very rare in Korea. In this study, we present the case of a 69-year-old man with granulomatous invasive fungal rhinosinusitis. He was successfully treated with a combination of surgery and itraconazole.Entities:
