Abstract
Late post-operative Aspergillus endocarditis is an under recognized life-threatening complication of heart valvular surgery. Optimal prevention and treatment need enhanced awareness. We report three cases of post-operative Aspergillus flavus endocarditis, including one with a 6-year long incubation period. Microsatellite typing incriminated a recurrent contamination of hospital environment.Entities:
