Abstract
Interferons show antitumor activity in patients with various malignancies. The mechanism(s) of the antitumor effects are not altogether clear. In one experimental animal model discussed herein, mice were injected with Friend erythroleukemia cells and treated with mouse interferon alpha/beta. The results suggest that interferon does not act directly on the tumor cells but acts via host mechanisms that are still ill defined.Entities:
