Abstract
India ink can be used to stain proteins bound to nitrocellulose. Subsequently, specific proteins can be identified with antibodies and 125I-protein A. In most cases, india ink did not significantly inhibit detection with antibody, nor was the ink washed off during the antibody incubation steps. Using this method, a direct comparison of antibody-reactive protein and total protein can be made with the same replica.Entities:
