The chromosomal location of factors determining the presence of phenolic compounds in wheat (Triticum aestivum L.).

Abstract

Using thin-layer chromatography and nulli-tetrasomic and ditellosomic series of Triticum aestivum L. cv. 'Chinese Spring', it has been possible to relate the phenolic compounds found in adult plant leaves and 12 day-old seedling leaves with the chromosomes or chromosome arms 1 B, 2 BL, 3 BL, 5 A, 6 AL, 7 B and 7 DS.
