Abstract
Sialectasis is an uncommon medical condition of the salivary glands. Conservative treatments of sialectasis include repeated aspiration, compression, dilation of the papilla and stent placement. This is the first reported case that we know of, using marsupialisation for distal sialectasis. Our case highlights the diagnostic and therapeutic challenges posed by sialectasis and demonstrates the efficacy of marsupialisation for distally based sialectasis when conservative treatments fail.Entities:
