Abstract
Mating in the aphid parasitoidPraon volucre is mediated by a female-produced sex pheromone, which laboratory behavioral studies suggest is released from the abdomen. Gas chromatography coupled with electrophysiological and behavioral assays on males showed one area of activity in an air entrainment sample of virgin females.
