Abstract
The Pulmonary Pathology Working Group of the German Society of Pathology (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Pathologie DGP) can look back on an eventful year. Apart from the autumn meeting in Bremen in November 2012 and the sessions at the annual DGP congress in Heidelberg in May 2013, several articles dealing with the classification of pulmonary carcinoids as well as predictive analyses of cytological specimens and small biopsies of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) could be published with support and co-authorship of a large number of members of the working group. In this report, the key aspects of the last year's activities of the working group are summarized, including molecular diagnosis of lung tumors, NSCLC classification, neuroendocrine tumors, TNM and R classification, interstitial lung diseases, pneumoconioses, and pleural mesothelioma.Entities:
