Abstract
Principles, history, terminology and technique of the extramucosal method in rhinoplasty are presented. The advantages of preserving the mucosa are reviewed: less bleeding, less swelling, fewer nasal breathing troubles, prevention of parrot's beaked nose, support for skeletal grafts, easier method for secondary rhinoplasty if it is needed, facility in measuring the skeletal resections.Entities:
