Double antihelix: Its significance in the correction of prominent ears.

N I Elsahy1.

Abstract

In performing otoplasty for correction of prominent ears, the aesthetic plastic surgeon may be faced with the existence of two antihelical folds especially if the conchal wall is too high. Thinning of the cartilage opposite and in between these two folds transforms them into a gently curved single fold that leads to a good aesthetic result.
