Abstract
Unresectable hepatic metastases from melanoma present a challenge to the physician. Although there have been advances in systemic therapies for patients with metastatic cutaneous melanoma to the liver, the overall prognosis is poor and is worse in patients with metastatic ocular melanoma. Isolated hepatic perfusion, open or percutaneous, allows high doses of cytotoxic chemotherapy to be delivered directly to the liver while minimizing systemic exposure, and has emerged as a viable treatment options for these complex patients.Entities:
