Abstract
Implementation of effective clinical interventions as part of routine medical care to combat problem drinking and tobacco use is recognized to be low. Insufficient training is an important barrier preventing physicians from delivering interventions recommended in current guidelines. High-impact medical journals publish almost nothing on how to address this. If they start to take an interest perhaps we will see more progress and many thousands of lives saved at minimal cost.Entities:
