Biomass obtained from cultures grown for 7 days in non-modified Czapek medium, was transferred, after 24 h starvation period into the fresh Czapek-no Pi medium with 4 mM PA as N and P sources and concentration of PA and Pi in this culture broth were measured. Data are means ± of three independent replications
Fig. 2The influence of increasing concentrations of 2-AEP on fungal growth. Data are mean ± SD of three replications
The level of Geomyces cell-free extract specific activity towards ciliatine (10 mM) measured in the presence of different amino group acceptors
| Amino group acceptors | Specific activity [nmol of Pi (mg protein)−1 s−1] |
|---|---|
| Sodium pyruvate | 0.32 |
| α-Ketoglutarate | 0.13 |
| Oxalacetate | 0.28 |
| All | 0.56 |
