Abstract
A 75-year-old woman presented with a 1-year history of an enlarging mass in the left parotid gland. Biopsy revealed a parotid plasmacytoma, and the patient was referred for a staging F-FDG PET/CT to evaluate the presence of multiple myeloma bone involvement. The PET/CT scan showed intense FDG uptake in the neck mass but no FDG-avid lymphadenopathy or distant metastases. Plasmacytoma involving the parotid gland is extremely rare. We present the F-FDG PET/CT imaging of solitary parotid plasmacytoma.Entities:
