Abstract
BACKGROUND: The Periodic Fever, Aphthous stomatitis, Pharyngitis and cervical Adenitis syndrome (PFAPA) is the most common periodic fever syndrome in childhood. Clinically, PFAPA may resemble autoinflammatory diseases, but the etiology is not fully understood.Entities:

For sCD25 measurements the p-value was 0.013 for PFAPA-f versus PFAPA-nf, and the p-value was 0.022 for Pn-f versus Pn-nf.
No other significant differences were found for sCD25 or sCD163.
* sCD163 was measured in 13 children with PFAPA and in 12 children with pneumonia.
