Comparative investigations on the specificity of Adams' reaction and the Biebrich scarlet stain for the demonstration of eosinophilic granules.

M L Mlynek.

Abstract

Since there is some doubt on the specificity of Adams' reaction for eosinophilic granules, the validity of this method has been compared with the Biebrich scarlet stain by means of a subsequent application of both procedures. It was found that the two methods yielded exactly the same results with the same grade of specificity.
