Abstract
The pseudopterosins derived from the marine gorgonian octocoral, P. elisabethae are novel biologically active compounds increasingly recognized for their anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and wound healing properties among other clinical attributes yet to be discovered. These and a multitude of other natural products derived from the sea are now being harnessed and advanced for their biological activity and promising therapeutic benefits. With continued research, the enormous potential for using these compounds in managing acute and chronic inflammatory cutaneous disorders is both exciting and inevitable.Entities:
