Torsion of the testis.

A S Cass1.

Abstract

Depending on the degree of torsion, irreversible damage to the testis can begin within just a few hours. Obviously, time is the critical factor in treatment of the condition. Dr Cass describes how to recognize this urologic emergency, the best approach to prevention of recurrence, and results of studies on treatment outcome.
