Abstract
There is ample evidence in the literature that both Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are at least partly caused by genetic factors. For the future, it is important to locate markers that can separate patients from healthy individuals. The relative importance of these markers in the etiology can then be investigated by using statistical methods such as segregation analysis.Entities:
