Figure 1Fundus photo of a 52-year-old man with a history of proliferative diabetic retinopathy status-postpan-retinal photocoagulation who had initially undergone pars plana vitrectomy for nonclearing vitreous hemorrhage and subsequently developed a superior giant retinal tear macula-sparing retinal detachment (A). He underwent pars plana vitrectomy/endolaser/fluid–air exchange/silicone-oil infusion. His retina remains attached 4 years postremoval of silicone oil with a best-corrected visual acuity of 20/200 (B).
