Transosseous approach for thoracic needle biopsy.

This description of procedures in two patients illustrates successful thoracic needle biopsy, despite the fact that the lesion was obscured by overlapping bones in each instance. The technique of screwing a 20-gauge needle through the overlapping bone is suggested as an innovative method when more traditional approaches to the lesion are not feasible.
