Sir, We would like to thank Akçay and Satoğlu, et al.1 for their comments on our article.2 The augmentation of DHS with cement improves the superior cut out strength, but will not provide the additional rotational stability. So, it is desirable to add an antirotation screw to improve the rotational stability. The medical treatment of osteoporosis was started afterwards to prevent subsequent osteoporotic fractures in all the cases. Initially, patients were put on calcium and vitamin D supplementation. Bisphosphonates were added only after fracture healing was complete.
