Abstract
A systematic study of the asymmetric transfer hydrogenations of functionalized acetylenic ketones and diketones has been completed, together with a total synthesis of (S,S)-(-)-yashabushidiol B. In several cases, excellent enantioselectivities and yields were achieved.Entities:
