Abstract
BACKGROUND: To the best of the authors' knowledge, this is the first report of a traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the basilar artery presenting with epistaxis. CASE STUDY: This study reports a rare case in which a patient suffered from fatal epistaxis because of a pseudoaneurysm of basilar artery and fracture of skull base after a motorcycle accident. Clinical manifestation, diagnostic imaging and endovascular treatment are described. Formation mechanisms and the treatment of traumatic pseudoaneurysm of basilar artery are discussed.Entities:
