Abstract
An unusual case of large buccal tumour has been described. The lesion was clinically compatible with a squamous cell carcinoma, but it had pathological features of an ameloblastoma arising in the soft tissues. Only few cases of extragingival peripheral ameloblastoma were found in a review of the literature. Possible origins of these tumours are still debatable.Entities:
