Abstract
Dacryocystorhinostomy is commonly performed through an external incision. Several transnasal approaches were described earlier in this century but they failed to gain popularity probably because of the difficult exposure. The recent development of nasal endoscopes has greatly improved intranasal visualization. A prior cadaver study demonstrated the feasibility of a transnasal approach.
