Abstract
Trichomonas tenax and Entamoeba gingivalis are protozoa found in the human oral cavity. Morphological and ultrastructural characteristics of those parasites were reviewed and then studied with the scanning electron microscope in this paper. Based on previous epidemiological studies, the relationship between periodontal disease and those protozoa was analysed. Evaluation of the pathogenicity of Trichomonas tenax and Entamoeba gingivalis was also part of the discussion of this study.Entities:
