Haemophilus influenzae osteomyelitis complicating dactylitis in homozygous sickle cell disease.

Abstract

A case of Haemophilus influenzae osteomyelitis complicating dactylitis in homozygous sickle cell disease is described. It is the first description of this association to our knowledge, and resulted in permanent damage and shortening of all affected bones.
