Comparison of mean percentage signal change in dlPFC during the active maintenance period of a working memory task in the PTSD and Trauma-Exposed Control (TEC) groups point to a generalized dlPFC disruption of activation for salient task-irrelevant distracter scenes in the PTSD group, which showed an undifferentiated response in the dlPFC to combat and neutral distracters.
