Abstract
Metacarpal shaft fractures are commonly encountered by hand and upper extremity surgeons. The majority of these fractures may be treated nonoperatively. In cases of unstable or significantly displaced metacarpal shaft fractures, surgical intervention may be warranted. A variety of operative techniques have been described in the literature to address fixation of these fractures. The purpose of this study is to present a novel, minimally invasive, and cost-effective technique using an intramedullary Kirschner wire without wire removal.Entities:
