Dear Sir, We have read with interest the comments sent by the readers. In our case, we performed real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) for herpes simplex virus (HSV)-1 and HSV-2 DNA and for enterovirus (EV)-RNA, and the results were all negative. We also performed PCR for Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which was also negative. In view of PCR being negative for both the tests, we have concluded that the aseptic meningitis in our patient was probably secondary to intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) treatment.[1] However, we agree that the same should have been mentioned in our manuscript. We appreciate the readers for bringing it to our kind notice.[2]
