Abstract
Three newly developed rapid cultural methods (Rapid Salmonella, Precis™ Salmonella, IBISA Salmonella) for the detection of Salmonella spp. were compared to a reference method. All methods performed comparably on inclusivity/exclusivity testing. Similar limits of detection were observed for all methods with milk, cocoa and bouillon matrices. Some tea varieties appeared to disturb the normal color formation of all selective agars tested.Entities:
