Abstract

Mean linear extrapolation values of 50% cytotoxicity values (LC50 values, µg/ml) and 50% metalloproteinase inhibitory (IC50, µg/ml), and their calculated therapeutic indices (LC50/IC50) of hydro-alcoholic extract of Glycyrrhiza glabra and Matricaria aurea, dexamethasone, piroxicam and diclofenac on Wehi-164 fibrosarcoma cells.

For statistical evaluation, ANOVA followed by Dunnets' post hoc tests were used. LC50/IC50 ratios were calculated by dividing the LC50 with IC50 values which were obtained by interpolation from linear regression analysis of the dose response cures obtained from zymography and colorimetric methods, respectively.
